I just found this protoblog that I had totally forgotten about. I think I made it as an experiment to get used to WordPress, and possibly as a stub (if that’s what I mean) leading to something else. It’s now 2012. Are we having fun yet?

Not much progress today at the Museum workshop. The mechanics of the Whirling Virgin are proving elusive. Actually not so much whirling as sedately rotating.

A further observation. It appears to be random whether the rotation is left or right, clockwise or anti. So the mechanism needs to be independent of the spin parity.
